My South American Art Debut!

With lights blazing, the casino was the site of my "South American Art Debut" last night!
A lot of my friends were there and it was so exciting when I arrived to have them kiss and hug and congratulate me on my exhibit. Only to be pulled away to sign autographs! Even people I had never met came up to me to tell me how much they liked my artworks! Needless to say, I felt quite the celebrity!

This is my favorite of the show. It is made entirely of shells! I saw it before it was hung and it is spectacular! (Punta de Lobos in the background.)

It's hard to see the blue whale on the left. These are in the front gallery where my art is.

Another very cool mosaic made of shells depicts the beach in Pichilemu in the 1880's. The painting on the left was painted by an artist who also owns a clothing store in town.

These paintings are in the back gallery. The front gallery is one large room while the back gallery also has little rooms around the perimeter. What were they used for during the casino days? Probably private cards parties we surmise.
So, tell me what you think of the art show? I have to say, I felt I was FINALLY playing with the big kids.
Also news! Yesterday morning we sent off the last of the documents needed for our permanent residency!
And, when I got home from the opening, there were two very nice comments on my zazzle.com page from someone I don't even know and who also didn't ask me to visit his site. Very nice, indeed!
I had a great day yesterday in all ways! Wish everyday was like that!
